We are a team of accredited trainers who are passionate about enabling schools to achieve high standards of wellbeing for their staff which will benefit educational settings.
Our service is managed by specialist Public Health practitioners at West Berkshire Council. This means that all of our courses and workshops are based on current research and best practice in workplace wellbeing. Courses and workshops are offered on an open or bespoke basis. We offer different programmes, including:
Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) courses
Our accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses are ideal for those who are looking to increase their awareness and understanding about mental health, building confidence to offer valuable first aid to people experiencing mental distress in the workplace and in the community. We offer the internationally-recognised half-day, one-day and two-day courses, in association with MHFA England.
Our Healthy Conversations workshops incorporate a well-established approach in preventing ill-health, that is used throughout the NHS and features in many healthy workplace awards. It is about using day-to-day interactions (healthy conversations) in the workplace to encourage staff to have healthier lifestyles. Workshop participants will develop both the skills to motivate colleagues to improve their health and the knowledge to signpost colleagues to suitable resources and services.
Sleep and Recovery
Restful sleep is key to feeling well and thriving at work. Our NHS-trained Sleep Coach has developed a range of workshops, for those wanting to know more about current sleep science and want to explore some solutions to improve the quality of their rest and sleep. Workshops include Sleep Well - Work Well (for staff and managers), Sleep Well - Age Well (for older workers or volunteers), Sleep Well - Live Well (for working families).
Menopausal women are the fastest growing demographic in the UK workforce. Many experience a wide range of symptoms that affect their wellbeing at work. Making menopause a subject that no one is embarrassed to talk about helps women to have the confidence to ask for support if they need it. Our range of awareness workshops include options for managers and staff, to improve understanding and support for colleagues experiencing menopausal symptoms.
